Townes says goodbye to BBL club Crailsheim for good
Marques Townes, who was suspended from training and playing in mid-October, will no longer play for the German Basketball League club Hakro Merlins Crailsheim. The club, which is bottom of the table, reached an agreement with the 28-year-old point guard to terminate his contract, the club announced on Thursday. Townes will play for the Czech club BK Opava in the future. He was only signed at the end of July.
Marques Townes' departure from the Bundesliga is not limited to Hakro Merlins Crailsheim, as he has secured a new opportunity in the Czech Basketball League with BK Opava. Despite his recent signing in July, the transfers in European basketball league systems continue to shape rosters.
