Towers celebrate first home win of the season against newly promoted Vechta

After six home defeats in all competitions, Veolia Towers Hamburg have recorded their first home win of the basketball season. The Hanseatic club won 85:81 (43:38) in the German league against Rasta Vechta, who have been playing strongly so far, and so celebrated its third win in its sixth BBL game in front of 3,105 spectators in the Inselparkhalle. The best scorer in the team of Head Coach Benka Barloschky was once again Aljami Durham (19 points).

Hamburg produced a strong defensive performance in the first period and also pulled away thanks to a good percentage of two-point shots. Vechta then acted more effectively than the Towers in the second period, whose lead even dwindled to three points at one stage.

The game remained tightly contested after the break. The Towers even briefly had to concede the equalizer in the 28th minute (53:53), but then regained the lead. The home side then turned up the heat in the final period and ultimately did not let victory slip from its grasp.

Despite their success in the Bundesliga so far, Rasta Vechta faced a tough challenge against the Veolia Towers Hamburg in basketball. The Bundesliga match took place at the Veolia Towers' home, the Inselparkhalle, where they celebrated their first home win of the season against Vechta, with a score of 85:81.
