Tourism numbers have been growing favorably in Lower Saxony, with one region experiencing significant gains during the first three months.

Data Analysis - Tourist count rises during the initial three months.

In the initial quarter, the rise in tourists to Lower Saxony was seen when compared to the preceding year. Overnight stays surged by 9.1% to more than 7.5 million according to the Lower Saxony State Office for Statistics. Around 600,000 reservations were foreign-based. A surge of 7.5% resulted in a total of 2.6 million visitors.

As the data reveals, the Lüneburg Heath saw a boost with 1.1 million bookings (an 8.3% growth from the previous year). The Emsland and County of Bentheim, the coastal region, Osnabrück, Hannover-Hildesheim region, and the Harz also noted a considerable increase in overnight stays of over 900,000.
