Raging storms making their way across North Rhine-Westphalia have resulted in excessive rainfall in certain locations. As per the local fire department in Ratingen, a powerful rain cloud moved above the city, leading to substantial water damage, predominantly in the neighborhoods of Breitscheid and Lintorf. By 7:30 PM, there were already 120 complaints lodged. The fire department is currently mobilizing 100 personnel.

Similarly, the fire department in Wesel reported multiple responses due to heavy rainfall in the evening hours.

The German Meteorological Service forecasted scattered, at times intense storms with torrential rain in the afternoon. On Tuesday morning, more thunderstorms and showers are projected, which could possibly bring heavy rain, especially in the eastern mountain ranges.

Due to the intense rainfall, the city of Wesel also declared an emergency, requiring the fire department to respond numerous times during the evening. With the forecasted thunderstorms and heavy rain on Tuesday, the fire departments are preparing for potential emergency situations, especially in the eastern mountain ranges.
