On a cemetery in Haßloch (Bad Dürkheim district), unknown perpetrators have stolen grave decorations and statues worth around 50,000 euros. According to police reports, approximately 50 graves were damaged or robbed between Sunday evening and Monday morning. Primarily, bronze or copper grave dishes, as well as occasional Jesus and Maria statues or crosses, were stolen. The perpetrators forced open the gate of the usually accessible grounds - presumably to gain access with a vehicle.

The police are urging witnesses to come forward if they have any information about the theft of other articles of apparel, such as bronze or copper grave dishes, Jesus and Maria statues, or crosses, from the cemetery. The cemetery management is considering installing security cameras to protect valuable grave decorations and artifacts in the future.
