Toboggan run employee seriously injured on ride down into the valley
An employee of a summer toboggan run in the Swabian town of Immenstadt (Oberallgäu district) has been seriously injured in a tobogganing accident. The 19-year-old was carrying out work on Tuesday after the end of operations and then tobogganed down into the valley, the police said on Wednesday. During the ride, however, the young man was thrown from the toboggan and suffered serious injuries, they said.
According to the information provided, the officers found no defects in the toboggan's safety belt. The police therefore assume that the employee was not properly strapped in.
Despite the incident, the toboggan run in Swabia's Immenstadt continues to operate, urging employees to always ensure proper safety harness use during work or leisure activities. Unfortunately, the recent accident at the toboggan run serves as a grim reminder of the consequences of disregarding safety protocols.
