Traffic - Timber transporter overloaded by nine tons
Police in Upper Franconia have pulled a timber transporter overloaded by more than nine tons off the road. The 45-year-old driver and owner of the truck must expect a fine of at least 380 euros and points on the driving license register, the police announced on Tuesday. During a traffic check on Monday near Ludwigstadt (district of Kronach), police officers noticed the truck and trailer loaded with massive logs. According to the police, it then turned out that it was carrying more than 49 tons of wood instead of the permitted 40 tons.

In light of the high level of criminality in Bavaria, the Upper Franconian Police are increasing their patrols to ensure traffic safety, especially in areas prone to overloading like the incident involving the timber transporter. Unfortunately, this overloaded truck from Upper Franconia was involved in a criminal act, leading to a substantial fine and potential license suspension.
