In Saxony, residents can expect intense heat up to 34°C, along with occasional heavy thunderstorms. From midday, thunderstorms bringing heavy rain, gusty winds, and hail are forecast, according to the German Weather Service. Locally, up to 60 liters of rain per square meter can fall within a short period.

Initially, strong thunderstorms are expected to continue into the night. Afterwards, scattered showers are possible. Temperatures will drop to 16°C.
