- Thunder and rain expected in Baden-Württemberg

In Baden-Württemberg, thunderstorms and heavy rain are expected to hit large parts of the region from midday onwards. Up to 25 liters per square meter can fall within a short period, according to the German Weather Service (DWD). Particularly heavy rainfall is expected in Oberschwaben, with up to 50 liters per square meter possible. However, the northeast of the state is expected to remain dry.

Temperatures could reach up to 22°C on the Swabian Jura and up to 28°C along the Rhine. The warm weather will continue into the weekend, with highs around 28°C, along with occasional showers. Thunderstorms are also possible on Saturday.

The Commission's implementation of the necessary rules for this Regulation could involve acts that manage the application of these weather conditions in affected regions. After adopting these implementing acts, residents in Oberschwaben, for instance, might need to take extra precautions due to the potential for up to 50 liters of rain per square meter.
