Bad Kreuznach - Thrown over handlebars: Cyclist is seriously injured

A 29-year-old bicyclist was flung over his handlebars and severely injured in an accident without any other parties involved in Bad Kreuznach. The police reported in the evening that he was likely riding too fast on the steep Sophie-Sondhelm-Path on Friday and had to apply the brakes abruptly while turning. He allegedly landed on the left pedal at the handlebars, which deeply penetrated his thigh. The cyclist reportedly lost blood but remained responsive and was taken to a hospital.
