Erding - Three seriously injured in deflagration at campsite

Three people have been seriously injured in a deflagration at a campsite in Upper Bavaria. According to the police on Friday, an explosive gas-air mixture is said to have been created and deflagrated for unknown reasons. There are no indications of intent so far. The two men and one woman, aged between 30 and 61, were working on a log cabin at the campsite in Taufkirchen (Erding district). The gas-air mixture deflagrated and the three were seriously injured. The emergency services treated them and took them to hospital.

The log cabin was completely destroyed. The flying debris damaged other buildings and parked vehicles. No other people were injured as a result. According to initial findings, the damage is said to be in excess of 100,000 euros. Specialists from the Erding criminal investigation department have taken over the investigation.
