Accident on district road 2086 - Three seriously injured in accident: two rescue helicopters

At an accident in Untergruppenbach (District Heilbronn), three people have been seriously injured. Two helicopters for emergency medical services were in use on Saturday to transport the injured to the hospital, the police reported.

The accident likely occurred because a 21-year-old driver swerved slightly into the green lane and then lost control of her car. She collided frontally with the car of a 60-year-old, according to the police. The 52-year-old passenger in the struck car was seriously injured and was taken to a clinic in an ambulance. The two drivers were taken to treatment by helicopter.

The Kreisstraße 2086 had to be closed for approximately three and a half hours. The initial damage assessment by the police was 14,000 Euros.

Despite the precautions taken on the county road due to the accident, traffic was significantly affected. Unfortunately, this accident resulted in four individuals requiring medical attention, with two being airlifted by a rescue helicopter.
