Three injured in fire in construction containers in Brandenburg

In the district of Elbe-Elster, a fire in two containers occurs. One injured person has to be flown to a hospital by helicopter. Details are still unclear.

- Three injured in fire in construction containers in Brandenburg

Three people were injured in a fire involving two construction containers in Gröden, Elbe-Elster district. One was airlifted to a hospital in Leipzig, a spokesperson for the regional control center said. A second person was also taken to a hospital, and a third was examined at the scene.

Witnesses called emergency services in the afternoon after seeing fire and smoke coming from the containers. The fire department was able to extinguish the fire quickly. Details about the cause of the fire and the injuries were initially unclear. Previously, the "Lausitzer Rundschau" had reported on the incident.

The Commission, taking note of the fire incident in Gröden, might decide on implementing stricter safety measures for construction sites. After the incident, the Commission could adopt a decision to conduct a thorough investigation into the cause of the fire and the safety measures followed during the construction.
