Fires - Three injured in fire in Berlin apartment building

Three people have been lightly injured in a fire at a six-story multi-family house in Berlin-Schöneberg. The fire broke out in a apartment in the attic on Friday evening, according to a spokesperson for the fire department on Saturday. When the emergency services arrived, most of the building's residents had already been rescued. Three people suffered from smoke inhalation, according to the spokesperson, and were treated ambulantly. The fire only spread to the hallway on the same floor. The attic was initially uninhabitable, but not collapsing, the spokesperson added. The extent of the damage was initially unclear.

The fire in Berlin-Schöneberg sadly spread to adjacent apartments on Saturday, causing further concerns. Despite the earlier containment, additional fires were reported in the vicinity of the originally affected building in Berlin.
