In a straight-up crash involving two autos on federal highway 53 close to Kröv (administered by Bernkastel-Wittlich), three individuals sustained injuries. A 33-year-old driver attempted to pass another vehicle in the opposite lane, leading to a head-on collision, as reported by law enforcement. He suffered significant injuries, while his 24-year-old passenger sustained only minor wounds. Thankfully, the infant in the backseat of the first car remained unscathed. The 58-year-old driver of the second car also sustained minor injuries. The 33-year-old was attempting to change lanes at an ambiguous spot. As a result, both vehicles were completely wrecked, causing the road to be completely shut down temporarily.
The crash occurred on Federal Road 53, affecting the flow of traffic for a while. Despite the severe accident, the federal highway was eventually reopened after the debris was cleared.
