- Three individuals sustain injuries in two separate incidents on the A4 highway.
Two separate occurrences on the A4 resulted in three individuals sustaining injuries. In the early hours, a 49-year-old mismanaged his vehicle between the Glauchau-Ost and Hohenstein-Ernstthal exits due to aquaplaning. His car collided with a truck, as stated by authorities. The truck flipped over, leaving both drivers with severe injuries. They were transferred to a medical facility.
Later in the day, a 66-year-old inadvertently steered his vehicle into a truck during the congestion caused by the first incident, at the peak of the Angerberg rest area. He too was transported to a hospital.
The route leading to Dresden was completely closed due to these incidents, initially between the Glauchau-Ost and Hohenstein-Ernstthal exits, later between Glauchau-West and Glauchau-Ost. The total damage is projected to exceed 100,000 euros.
The 66-year-old's mistakes led to him hitting another truck with his vehicle at the Angerberg rest area. After the day's series of events, the A4 required numerous cars, including his, to be diverted due to the extensive damage.
