Unlawful act[s] - Three individuals face accusations for engaging in illegal arms and narcotics trade.

The Frankfurt Public Prosecutor's Office has accused three men of weapons and drug trafficking. The trio allegedly dealt in assault rifles and machine pistols, as revealed by the authorities on a Wednesday announcement. A 39-year-old man stands accused of selling weapons to organized crime groups in Germany in over eight instances between 2020 and 2023. The weapons in question include AK-47 and UZI assault rifles, MP5 submachine guns, and similar firearms. Furthermore, he is implicated in at least two drug trafficking cases. One case involved the smuggling of ten kilograms of hashish from the Netherlands to Germany, while the other involved a failed attempt to send 31 kilograms of cocaine from Colombia.

A 41-year-old man from Darmstadt, who happens to be the brother of the 39-year-old, is accused of selling a pistol. He is also alleged to have ordered and offered several kilograms of cannabis for sale. An elderly co-conspirator, aged 75, is accused of transporting weapons for the 39-year-old, bringing them from abroad to Germany. This includes numerous semi-automatic weapons and an assault rifle. Authorities nabbed the 39-year-old and the 75-year-old during a weapons transfer in October 2023, leading to their detention. The 41-year-old dealt with a similar fate initially, also facing pre-trial detention, but was later released on probation in April of this year. The prosecution claims that the men violated the War Weapons Control Act, the Weapons Act, and indulged in drug trafficking.
