Three dead in accident with wrong-way driver on highway in Saxony-Anhalt
According to reports, the accident happened early on Friday morning at around 4.25 a.m. on the A38 towards Göttingen. Between the Querfurt and Eisleben junctions, a wrong-way driver collided head-on with an oncoming car in which two women and a man were sitting.
The driver who caused the accident and the two women in the other car were killed. The man in the car hit by the wrong-way driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The identity of those killed was initially unclear. The highway in the direction of Göttingen remained closed for the time being.

The tragic accident occurred within the Saxony-Anhalt region, specifically on the A38 highway near Göttingen. The collision involved a wrong-way driver and another car, which contained three individuals, two women and a man. The driver responsible for the accident and the two female passengers in the struck vehicle were sadly deceased at the scene. The male occupant of the impacted car was transported to a hospital, suffering from severe injuries. As of now, the identities of those who perished remain undisclosed. The highway heading towards Göttingen was temporarily closed post-incident for further investigation.
