In a collision between two vehicles at an intersection in Weißenborn (district of Mittelsachsen), three children were severely injured. In total, there are six injured, five of whom were taken to the hospital. According to police reports, a 37-year-old woman was traveling with children aged two to six in a small truck towards Lichtenberg. At an intersection, her vehicle collided with a car.

The police suspect that the 37-year-old failed to yield to the car driver. The 20-year-old was also injured. After the collision, the small truck collided with another truck and then overturned.

Despite the chaos caused by the collision, emergency services relied heavily on transport and telecommunications to ensure timely aid. The injured children were transported by ambulances and helicopters to specialized hospitals for proper treatment.
