For three days, Bad Nauheim will once again be in the spirit of Rock 'n' Roll this weekend (16th to 18th August) as the annual "European Elvis Festival" is expected to draw several thousand fans of music legend Elvis Presley to the town in the Wetterau district. Around 3,000 tickets have already been sold for the events, according to the city. This is the 22nd edition of the festival.

The "King" himself was once stationed in nearby Friedberg from October 1958 to March 1960 and lived in Bad Nauheim during this time. Guided tours allow visitors to see the original locations.

There will be music from Elvis and his era at an Elvis party and concerts. A special exhibition will focus on the live performances of the US star, featuring original items from his collection such as clothing, instruments, documents, and posters.

This year, guests of a talk show will include Elvis' long-time bassist Jerry Scheff, and Elvis' cousin Donna Presley is also expected to make an appearance. A fan market will cater to collectors.

Many visitors, who travel from far and wide to pay homage to their idol, are expected to don the appropriate attire - from petticoats and beehive hairstyles to sideburns and the white, sequined stage outfit of the "King". A classic car parade featuring Cadillacs and other vintage cars will also transport visitors back to the 1950s to 1970s.

The annual "European Elvis Festival" attracts thousands to Bad Nauheim, transforming it into a Festival of Rock 'n' Roll for three days. Visitors can expect concerts, an Elvis party, and a special exhibition showcasing Elvis Presley's live performances and memorabilia.
