Casual sports enthusiasts - Thousands Gather at Frankfurt Firm for Event
Lots of runners showed up for the yearly J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge in Frankfurt on a Wednesday, with over 63,000 casual athletes signing up from more than 2,000 companies. The event spanned a 5.6-kilometer race through the city's center.
It's the 30th year of this entertaining race and the organizers stressed fun, "Corporations race together regardless of their running speed and skill, and enjoy a pleasant break from their workday," they shared.
Due to the massive number of participants, certain streets had to be shut down, making public transport a better option. The previous year had 55,000 registered runners. Before the pandemic, approximately 63,000 people signed up.
