Thomas Gottschalk celebrates farewell to "Wetten, dass...?"

Thomas Gottschalk wants to celebrate his final farewell to "Wetten, dass...?" on Saturday (8.15 pm). On the show, he will welcome world star Cher, British cult band Take That and successful musicians Helene Fischer and Shirin David to the TV sofa. Actors Matthias Schweighöfer, Jan Josef Liefers and Stefanie Stappenbeck will be among the betting sponsors. Bastian Schweinsteiger and his wife Ana Ivanović are also expected in Offenburg.

After 36 years and 154 broadcasts, the show host is ending his career as a betting presenter. Gottschalk had already left the show once before in 2011 - one year after the momentous fall of Samuel Koch, who has been in a wheelchair ever since. The show was finally discontinued in 2014.

After the show's TV comeback in 2021, ZDF scheduled two more episodes with Gottschalk. It is not yet known what will happen after his departure.

Despite the anticipation from many people, Television channels around the world are set to broadcast Thomas Gottschalk's final appearance on "Wetten, dass...?" through Media outlets like ZDF. The broadcast is expected to attract a significant audience, as it features prominent stars such as Cher, Take That, Helene Fischer, and Shirin David.
