Investigations - Thieves steal watches worth 100,000 euros
Three thieves are said to have stolen wristwatches worth a total of 100,000 euros from a store in Glashütte in the eastern Erzgebirge. The 40, 41 and 47-year-old suspects were arrested, as the police in Dresden announced on Wednesday. According to previous findings, two of the suspects got out of a car on Tuesday and entered the store wearing masks, where one of them is said to have smashed display cabinets with a crowbar and removed around 30 watches. The second suspect had positioned himself at the door.
After the crime, they got into the car and drove off. The 51-year-old employee, who had remained calm during the crime, informed the police. The officers managed to stop the car in Liebenau (Sächsisch Schweiz-Osterzgebirge). The police found loot and tools of the trade in the vehicle. The police are investigating serious gang theft.
