Thieves fail at sausage machine
Two men have been arrested following the failed break-in of a sausage vending machine in Kassel on Thursday night. They had caused around 500 euros worth of damage to the vending machine, the police announced on Thursday. However, they had not succeeded in breaking it open and stealing anything. The 26-year-old was arrested at the scene of the crime in the Nordshausen district. His companion, who was two years older, had initially fled on an e-scooter and hid in the bushes at a cemetery. The officers found him there.
The potential loot from the sausage machine robbery in Kassel, North Hessa, was estimated to be worth around 500 euros. Despite their efforts, the thieves were unable to commit a crime of grander scale, as they could not break into the machine.
