RB Leipzig defender, Lukeba, is set to join the French Olympic team. Coach Thierry Henry has selected Lukeba for the provisional Olympic squad which will be finalized in a training camp starting June 16th. A total of 25 players will be part of the training camp and 18 will ultimately represent France at the Olympics from July 24th to August 10th.

Originally, Lukeba anticipated being picked for the EURO team, but he wasn't included in the onslaught of talent in the Tricolore squad. Lukeba, who joined Leipzig from Lyon, swiftly earned a regular spot in the Leipzig team during his first season, playing in 32 matches and 24 as a starter. He made his national debut in October 2023.

Lukeba will join France in Group A alongside Colombia, Canada, and New Zealand. Although the tournament is limited to Under 23 teams, three players can be older.
