As August wind downs, temperatures still remain swelteringly high, keeping summer's warmth alive. By mid-week, Wednesday the 30th, some areas could hit the 30-degree mark. The DWD predicts that Thursday will be even hotter, with the country-wide heat warning being issued on their site, anticipating temperatures as high as 35 degrees. However, parts of northwestern Germany and some southern regions are not included in this prediction.

The weather will mainly be sunny and dry, with a minimum risk of thunderstorms in the Alps and the Black Forest on Wednesday, according to DWD. Coastal regions will have light to moderate winds. On Thursday, the west and northwest will be cloudy, and DWD forecasts isolated, heavy showers and thunderstorms in the mountainous regions during the afternoon, with occasional gusts. There's also a slight risk of showers and thunderstorms in the Alps and other southern German regions.
