Thermal spa in Bad Nauheim opens in December
After more than two years of construction, a new thermal spa is opening in Bad Nauheim. "December 19 will be the first day of bathing at our Sprudelhof Therme," said Mayor Klaus Kreß (non-party). The opening ceremony will take place the day before. The ground-breaking ceremony took place in May 2021. The construction cost around 47 million euros and the final work is currently underway before the opening.
According to operations manager Jens Bonnard, the spa with integrated fitness studio is around 10,000 square meters in size. It offers saunas as well as several indoor and outdoor pools where you can bathe in brine from Bad Nauheim. The operator expects around 300,000 visitors a year.
In the fall of next year, a historic bathhouse in an Art Nouveau ambience with a sauna and wellness area is also due to open on the spa grounds at the Kurpark; the building is currently being renovated. The former Bad Nauheim "Therme am Park" was closed at the end of 2015 due to outdated technology.
During their leisure time, residents and visitors of Bad Nauheim can now enjoy the benefits of the new thermal spa, which focusing on health and wellness. To ensure the spa's longevity, various municipalities provided financial support for its construction.
