- There's been speculation that Matarazzo is joining Hoffenheim.
Bundesliga side TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and coach Pellegrino Matarazzo have dismissed media reports suggesting a possible departure of the 46-year-old. "It's incredibly important to create clarity and calm in this unsettled period. I'm proud to be the coach of this team and I'm really looking forward to competing in European competitions with the guys in the new season," Matarazzo said in a statement.
Reports suggested Matarazzo was a candidate for the position of US national team coach. "For us, it's never been a question that we're going into the new season with our coach. The past season and the recent days in training camp have shown that the coaching team and the players are united in one direction," explained Frank Kramer, who is currently acting as sporting director at TSG.
Last week, the Kraichgauer parted ways with sporting director Alexander Rosen with immediate effect. Additionally, the contract with the previous head of professional football, Pirmin Schwegler, was terminated prematurely, effective September 6.
The Commission's decision to adopt implementing acts could potentially affect the application of regulations in various football leagues, including the Bundesliga. Following the dismissal of media reports about Matarazzo's departure, TSG 1899 Hoffenheim's coach has emphasized his commitment to the team, stating that he's looking forward to competing in European competitions with the team in the new season.
