- The week of driver control starts in Schleswig-Holstein

In Schleswig-Holstein, the police will be conducting enhanced checks on drivers until Sunday. The control week began on Monday morning, as a police spokesperson told the German Press Agency. Officers will be paying particular attention to speed and driver behavior.

The police will be using video vehicles and speed cameras to monitor routes along construction sites, among other things. "The aim of these checks is to effectively combat the causes of accidents, such as excessive speed and aggressive behavior on the roads," said a spokesperson for the State Police Office in Kiel.

The enhanced checks on drivers will continue until Sunday. This extended control week started on Monday.
