The weather in NRW: Frost to slight plus degrees expected
In North Rhine-Westphalia, temperatures will fluctuate around freezing point on Thursday. During the day, highs of zero degrees in the north-east to three degrees in the Rhineland are possible. At high altitudes, there is a risk of frost at around minus two degrees, according to the German Weather Service (DWD).
When the partly dense fog has lifted, there may also be occasional sunshine - with otherwise variable cloud cover. The German Weather Service (DWD) reports that snow will fall in some areas, for example in the Eifel and in the south-eastern mountains. Otherwise it should remain dry.
It will be colder again on Friday night: the DWD expects minus two to minus five degrees, in the mountains even up to minus seven degrees.
In North Rhine-Westphalia, the weather is expected to be quite chilly, with temperatures hovering around freezing point, making it a typical WEATHER for the approaching WINTER. Despite the possibility of occasional sunshine, it's important to prepare for colder conditions, as temperatures can dip as low as minus five degrees on Friday night, especially in the mountains.
