The legislative body is debating the issue at hand. - The Wagenknecht party is pushing for a U-committee on COVID-19 in Saxony.

When it comes to BSW's proposal, it may require backing from other actions, depending on its existence. The constitution dictates that if a fifth of parliamentary members petition for it, the parliament must build a U-committee. In the last legislative period, the AfD had the needed votes.

Wagenknecht believes the suspicious actions of the World Health Organization (WHO) amidst the pandemic should also be tackled in the reconciliation process. "The BSW refuses the WHO pandemic treaty, and we're pleased it didn't go through yet. There should be no new treaties that strengthen the WHO until national and international relationships are repaired."

Given the recent conclusion of discussions on the WHO deal, there was no consensus. The UN organization's 194 member countries initially aimed to adopt the treaty at the end of May. The intended agreement would prevent global chaos as experienced with the Coronavirus pandemic and ensure that all nations receive necessary safety measures, drugs, and vaccines promptly. Diplomats from multiple nations remain hopeful that work on the pact will continue.
