- The Wacken heavy metal festival is coming to an end.

After four days, the Heavy Metal Festival in Schleswig-Holstein's Wacken comes to an end in the early hours of Sunday. The grand finale between Hämatom and Finch on one of the two main stages is set to last until 2:00 AM, as announced by the organizers of Wacken Open Air (W:O:A). On the final day, metal fans can look forward to performances by Amon Amarth, Architects, and Behemoth, among others.

W:O:A is considered one of the largest Heavy Metal Festivals worldwide. All 85,000 tickets sold out within four and a half hours. "The 33rd Wacken Open Air is running smoothly without major incidents or issues, and exceptionally peacefully, for which we thank the best fans in the world," said festival directors Thomas Jensen and Holger Hübner.

The overwhelming excitement among metalheads persists, as the music of Amon Amarth, Architects, and Behemoth fills the air on the festival's final day. Despite the festival coming to an end, the love for Music within the Heavy Metal community remains everlasting.
