The focus is on Berlin. - The Supervisory Board of TU holds a special session to deliberate on the university's president.

A meeting is taking place on Monday involving the board of directors from the Technical University of Berlin to discuss the fate of President Geraldine Rauch. The meeting will commence at 8 AM, as per a spokesperson from the TU. The board consists of eleven members, one of whom is Senator for Science Ina Czyborra. There's a chance that this group may opt for dismissing the president with a two-thirds majority vote. However, they could also issue a statement or convey their views instead.

If the committee opts for Rauch's dismissal, they'll need to pass the issue back to the university's Academic Senate. The Extended Academic Senate will then make the final decision on whether to keep or remove her. Rauch has faced criticism for liking at least one anti-Semitic post regarding the Gaza War on the platform 'X'. On Thursday, she stated she wished to stay in office despite the Academic Senate only narrowly supporting her resignation.
