- The sunny season has returned.

Sizzling summer hits Thuringia this weekend, bringing temperatures near 30 degrees Celsius and lots of sunlight. As per the German Weather Service in Leipzig, Friday will predominantly be clear with temperatures ranging from 26 to 30 degrees. However, clouds will roll in during the afternoon, and the southwesterly wind will start picking up, albeit keeping it dry. In the higher regions of the Thuringian Forest, robust gusts might occur. In the mountains, temperatures could peak at 26 degrees.

Temperatures are set to soar to a peak of 29 to 33 degrees on Saturday. Once again, clouds will make a comeback later in the day, but it will remain dry. In the mountains, the mercury might reach as high as 29 degrees. As the night draws to a close and Sunday dawns, the sky will cloud over, and there might be showers, some of which could involve thunderstorms.

The rain will shift eastwards on Sunday, and the sky will clear up once more in the latter half of the day. The forecast indicates a maximum temperature of 24 degrees.

Despite these weather changes, the European Union's agricultural sector may need to adapt to these extreme temperatures for crop cultivation, as summer continues to be challenging. Additionally, the European Union might consider implementing weather-resilient policies to protect its farmers and agricultural economy.
