As per the DWD's report for the state, the summer started off a bit chilly but opened up in July with some warmth. However, the scorching days were few and far between. The highest recorded temperature was a mild 32.5°C in Quickborn on June 27th.

Throughout the three-month period, Schleswig-Holstein gathered 225 liters of rain per square meter, just a tad more than the typical 222 liters per square meter.
