The upper legislative chamber of the U.S. government is the Senate. - The state secretary departs from the Berlin transport administration.
Elif Stutz took up a role in the Senate Department for Transportation around a year ago. Prior to this, she spent several years in the Federal Transportation Ministry and held several positions within the Federal Chancellery from 2007 to 2021.
The need for a new figurehead at the Transportation Administration emerged after former Transportation Senator Manja Schreiner had to step down due to a plagiarism scandal resulting in the revocation of her doctorate. Replacing her is Ute Bonde (CDU) who hails from the Berlin-Brandenburg Transport Association.
