Government Council - The state government supports the university hospitals in Halle and Magdeburg.
The state government plans to put over a billion euros into the state's capital. Out of that, approximately 500 million euros are already being spent in Halle, according to Schuppe. On Tuesday, both the "Magdeburger Volksstimme" and the "Mitteldeutsche Zeitung" reported on the backlash towards the significant investment in Magdeburg.
