Case of the missing individual - The search for nine-year-old Valeriia persists.
Since Monday, a young girl from Ukraine has gone missing without a single trace. She had planned to go to school but never showed up. The city has since gone into overdrive searching for her, enlisting the help of divers, special dogs, helicopters, and drones. Despite their best efforts, they have yet to find any clues, not even her pink school jacket or any discarded articles of clothing. "We're still keeping all options on the table," stated Rydzik. That includes considering possible kidnappings or the unfortunate likelihood that the girl could have suffered an accident.
Rydzik estimated that roughly one-third of the city area had been comprehensively searched, covering not just the vicinity of her primary school but also an expansive region along the Freiberger Mulde river. Furthermore, approximately 10 terabytes of image and video data underwent extensive analysis, while Super-Recognizers - experts who excel at recognizing faces - were tapped for their expertise.
Locals were encouraged to be on the lookout for the girl in their own properties, scouring their gardens, cellars, garages, or sheds. According to reports, independent search parties have also banded together in the city. While these civilians are welcome to join in the effort, Rydzik added that they must not hinder the police's operations or engage in illegal activities, such as trespassing or breaking and entering, as they conduct their search.
