Waterlogged predicament - The Schmutter evacuation order has been lifted.
Following the stabilization of the Flood condition in the northern region of Swabia, the residents of two towns are no longer urged to leave their homes. The evacuation advice given for Mertingen and the district of Baumenheim in the municipality of Asbach-Baumenheim (Donau-Ries district) has been withdrawn, the District office revealed on Monday. Nonetheless, the residents are still encouraged to exercise caution. The recommendation was provided on Sunday evening due to the deteriorating flood condition along the Schmutter river.
