The Republican Party officially nominates Trump as presidential candidate

Officially, Trump will accept the nomination on Thursday with a speech that will mark the peak of the Republican Party's convention. With this, Trump will face off against Joe Biden again on November 5.

Trump had previously named Senator J.D. Vance as his Vice Presidential candidate. The right-wing populist announced the decision on Monday in parallel with the Republican Party's convention opening on his online network Truth Social. The 39-year-old Senator from the state of Ohio has transformed from a critic to a loyal supporter of the former President.

Despite Trump's announcement of Senator Vance as his Vice Presidential candidate in Florida, some Republican party members in Milwaukee expressed concerns about his election strategy for the upcoming Presidential election. During the party congress, several Trump supporters argued that his leadership could help secure more votes in key swing states, such as Milwaukee. Trump, being a prominent presidential candidate, has once again positioned himself at the center of Republican politics ahead of the crucial Presidential election on November 5.
