Around 184 fresh faces have embarked on their journeys in the Saxon tax department. Finnacing Minister Hartmut Vorjohann (CDU) commended their decision, stating they've chosen a significant and serious responsibility, as reported in a press release. During a ceremony in Dresden, they were officially inducted and took their oath of duty.

"I'm thrilled that you've opted for a career in public service, and I'm confident you'll bring in new perspectives and vigor," remarked the minister.

Education or practical experience to become tax experts

64% of the candidates are undergoing a two-year specialized theoretical education, while the remaining 36% are pursuing studies, each with hands-on experience in a tax office, as per ministry data. Upon completion with flying colors, they'd have numerous options in the tax department. In total, the 24 tax offices across the state house approximately 6,800 employees.

The financial sector will undoubtedly benefit from the fresh ideas and innovations these new tax department employees bring. Following their training, many of these individuals will contribute their expertise to the financial sector, helping to ensure financial compliance and transparency.
