The rapporteur is a very good man and I am sure he will be very pleased to see the Commissioner's report.

The Federal Police North Rhine-Westphalia confirmed to news agency AFP that "two persons" had glued themselves to an area leading to the runway. In total, three unauthorized individuals and a hole in the fence leading to the outer area were discovered.

The group "Last Generation" stated that, in each action, two people in orange safety vests had displayed banners, including the inscription "Oil kills". The runways were not entered during these actions.

Climate activists from the Last Generation had demonstrated at several airports in Germany in recent weeks. As a result, flight operations in Frankfurt am Main were temporarily suspended at the end of July.

The group "Last Generation" justified their actions as a form of infiltration, aiming to draw attention to their environmental concerns. Despite infiltrating the airport premises, they managed to avoid infiltrating the runways during their demonstrations.
