Now, the authorities are looking into the situation. Their spokesperson revealed on Tuesday, "We're trying to determine if there's enough evidence for prosecution." Earlier, several media outlets had talked about this video.
This video on X features a significant number of people, many of whom are wearing Galatasaray jerseys. The controversial phrase "Ausländer raus" is repeatedly heard in the recording. At first, the authorities couldn't conclude if the video was legally problematic.
Ayhan Yildiz, president of Galatasaray Sports and Fan Club e.V. Stuttgart, described the whole situation as objectionable. He was there live during the incident on Königstraße. According to him, it might be a result of increasing animosity between individuals with a migrant background and those who've just recently settled in Germany. He also added that some might be simply trying to get attention on the internet with such slogans.
Recently, a video of a party on Sylt had led to a national uproar. The attendees had sung racist songs to the tune of a popular party anthem.
Galatasaray Istanbul had won the Turkish Super League's last matchday with a 3:1 (1:0) victory against Konyaspor. They secured the championship by doing so. Major celebrations occurred in several locations, like Stuttgart.
