Following the flood, the Saar River is blocked for boat transportation. The reason behind this roadblock is the presence of debris in the water, hurdles for vessels, and missing navigation markers, as mentioned in a recent announcement from the Water Police. The ban is anticipated to continue up to the 31st of May. This shutdown influences the whole stretch from kilometer 0 to 94 and concerns commercial and pleasure boats alike. Both motorboats and canoes are going through the same predicament. Swimming in the Saar river is also prohibited, as per the statement.
