After the death of a 71-year-old visitor to the Paderborn Libori People's Festival following a violent altercation, the body of the man is to be examined by the medical examiner. The autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday, a police spokeswoman in Bielefeld stated. The homicide commission also intends to question witnesses. According to police reports, the 71-year-old was involved in a physical altercation with a 59-year-old man on Saturday evening at the People's Festival. During the fight, the 71-year-old fell from a ten centimeter high platform and sustained severe head injuries. He died on Sunday from his injuries.

A Homicide Commission is investigating the 59-year-old man for bodily harm resulting in death. The man was briefly detained but was later released.

In North Rhine-Westphalia, the jurisdiction where the incident occurred, the police are actively investigating the case of homicide. The medical examiner's report on the 71-year-old's body, known as 'Tod' in German, is expected to provide crucial evidence. After the conflict at the Libori People's Festival, the focus of police efforts has shifted to obduction procedures. The commission's investigation extends to potential witnesses, including those present during the altercation in Paderborn.
