A state-of-the-art psychiatric facility is set to be constructed at the West Coast Clinics in Heide, Dithmarschen district. The construction is scheduled to commence following the summer break, as revealed by the clinic on Monday. Psychiatry chief doctor Anna-Christina Schulz-Du Bois comments, "We'll soon have a building that caters to all the needs of modern psychiatric care." Patients who require ambulatory, stationary, or semi-stationary care will have accommodations available. Apart from therapy, group, and common rooms, the complex will also include offices. The estimated completion date is towards the end of 2026.

The state will be contributing 25 million euros to fund this project. The clinic has received official confirmation of the financing. "We're incredibly grateful for the state's support, and we'll start building right away," stated the commercial manager, Bernward Schroeder. "The new structure will enable us to provide a comfortable setting for both patients and staff." Currently, the psychiatric care is being provided in a building that was erected in the late 1990s.
