- The new arrival Pascal Groß makes his debut
Borussia Dortmund's new signing Pascal Groß celebrated his starting lineup debut in a test match against FC Villarreal. The footballer, signed just last Thursday, played 45 minutes against the Spanish first division side, appearing on the field four times for 30 minutes each in the match that ended in a 2:2 draw. The game, part of Dortmund's training camp in Altach, saw the BVB come back from a 0:2 deficit to level the score with goals from Jamie Bynoe-Gittens and Marcel Sabitzer.
The Bundesliga team will remain in training camp in Bad Ragaz until Friday. Their final friendly of the pre-season is scheduled for August 10, when they face Aston Villa in the season opener. The first competitive match of the season for Nuri Sahin's team is set for August 17, in the first round of the DFB-Pokal against Regionalliga side Phoenix Lübeck.
Borussia Dortmund and Pascal Groß will both be present during the team's training camp in Bad Ragaz until Friday. After his impressive performance in the friendly against FC Villarreal, expectations are high for Groß's contribution in Dortmund's upcoming friendly against Aston Villa.
