The Ministry announces the nursing chamber as unsuccessful.

The Ministry of Social Affairs has been reviewing the opposition to establishing a nursing room for several months. However, it seems that the volume of objections is overwhelming, leading to the project's failure.

The Ministry announces the nursing chamber as unsuccessful.

Following a thorough evaluation spanning several months, the Social Ministry announced that the creation of a care chamber in Baden-Württemberg had failed. The required voting majority was not met by approximately 3,400 votes. If at least 67,757 caregivers had not objected to the chamber's formation, it would have been established. However, only 64,380 out of the approximately 120,000 caregivers who were approached had voiced their concerns by the end of February.

Green politician Manne Lucha, the Social Minister, expressed his disappointment. "It's no secret that I wished for a care chamber to be set up," said Lucha. The implied power was meant to provide the chamber with strong legitimacy. "Alas, this does not seem to be the case based on the outcome of the registration process," lamented the minister.

The number of caregivers who support creating a care chamber appears to be similar to those who oppose it, according to Lucha. "Now is the time for all caregivers and political decision-makers to address the professional concerns of the future, without a care chamber and with maximum strength," concluded the minister.

In May, the state parliament gave the green light for the establishment of a care chamber. The green-black government had contended that the chamber would serve to give caregivers a voice and elevate the role of care professionals.
