Following several days of non-stop rain, rivers and creeks have flooded in Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg, leading to countless residents abandoning their houses. Numerous helpers are actively working to address the situation. In Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm, one firefighter perished, leading Woidke to comment:

"We are deeply saddened by the firefighter who lost his life while aiding others." These tragic circumstances serve as a stark reminder of the immense risks that first responders undertake when assisting those in need.
