During a brief internship at a hair salon, Minister President Stephan Weil gained an understanding of the hairdressing trade. At Salon Bremen in Wardenburg, an area of the Oldenburg district, the SPD politician tried his hand at tasks like permanent waving and hair coloring. According to Weil, "Permanent waving was certainly the most challenging task." He practiced it on a doll at the salon.

Weil found the machine-cut haircut easier to perform than the permanent waving. "I had a great time, learned a lot and it was a lot of fun," he commented on his day as a hairdresser. He also had a good time with the salon's patrons.

The purpose of his visit to the family-run business with over a century of history in Wardenburg was to acquaint himself with different professions. "I've visited many occupations, and today I'm in the hairdresser's profession for the very first time," the Minister President said.
